Diploma of Human Resource Management (Dairy)

If you are, or would like to be, advising dairy farmers on human resource management decisions, or you are actually implementing these decisions on a large dairy farm, this could be the course for you.

The Diploma provides a theoretical and practical foundation in dairy recruitment, analysis of roles and responsibilities, employment law and industrial relations, policies and procedures, management of working conditions, remuneration and employee benefits, induction processes, separation/termination procedures, training and development issues, succession planning and occupational health and safety.

There are eight units covered in four face-to-face workshops, each of three days duration (to be run in Melbourne). The workshops are delivered by local and international guest presenters within the framework of dairy industry case studies and The People in Dairy resources and website. There is also a requirement to do activities in your workplace.

Some of the recent diploma graduates are now offering people-related services to farmers - see what they are doing in Find an adviser.
